Proposals and Postponements

2021 was definitely the year of weddings at Lamlash House, many of which had been rescheduled several times due to the pandemic.

All of our weddings are intimate at Lamlash House due to the small scale nature of the property. However, in February we had one of our smallest weddings due to Covid-19 restrictions with just the wedding couple and two witnesses. They then returned later in the year with family and friends for their wedding reception, so the celebrations lasted much longer than most weddings.

Several of the weddings this year were local residents from Newmilns, and one couple even lives in the same street as Lamlash House, so meant no hire of cars for their arrival or departure to their honeymoon!

One groom had proposed to his bride at Lamlash House last summer, and we were delighted to host their wedding earlier this month.

It has been a pleasure to get to know all the couples who have been married at Lamlash House this year and we look forward to the winter weddings of 2022 which are scheduled to take place very soon.
