time for Afternoon tea
‘There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.’
Afternoon Tea was first created in 1840 by the Duchess of Bedford. Lamlash House is delighted to continue the tradition of serving Afternoon Tea with elegant ambiance in an authentic Victorian setting.
Enjoy a selection of freshly cut seasonal finger sandwiches, savoury pastries, warm baked Lamlash House scones served with Cornish clotted cream and preserve, followed by delightful delicate cakes and tarts.
Choose from an extensive tea menu and add a touch of sparkle to the occasion with a glass of champagne or a sparkling cocktail served from the Art Deco styled Strongroom Bar.
Throughout the year special Afternoon Tea events are hosted at the house and individual bookings can be made for private parties to enjoy the Afternoon Tea experience too.
Afternoon Tea is served in the Charles Rennie Mackintosh inspired Banking Hall, the Victorian Parlour and the Library.
Due to the small scale and exclusive nature of the venue, deposits are required to secure bookings and some events are subject to sufficient numbers.
