Thermal Efficiency Improvements and Community Heritage Enhancements at Lamlash House

Thanks to grant assistance from the Ayrshire Rural and Islands Ambition (ARIA) Fund, providing us with part funding, we are able to improve the thermal efficiency of the ground floor public rooms at Lamlash House by installing additional solid insulation boards under the floor. This will help retain as much heat as possible in the Victorian building in line with government climate change targets.

We’re setting to work on this now, following a delivery of supplies. This will keep us busy.

In addition, a new A Rated central heating boiler has been installed which should go some way to improve the thermal efficiency of Lamlash House.

News regarding the community heritage enhancement will follow shortly.
