Luxury Lace and Luncheon

Lamlash House was temporarily transported back to 1901 for the first in a series of Millers & Merchants Tours.

The full day tours which are organised in association with Tasting History Ayrshire Tours (THAT Co.) visit the Museum of Country Life and Costume at Dalgarven Mill near Kilwinning followed by a tour and lunch at Lamlash House, Newmilns and finally a visit to MYB Textiles in Newmilns to see lace manufacture in progress.

At Lamlash House, Bank Agent, Robert Carmichael Mitchell and House Maid, Annie Currie were reimagined for the day and interacted with the lunch guests to help provide a historical feel for what life was like living in the Victorian listed building 118 years ago.
