A Bespoke and Intimate Wedding at Lamlash House
Last weekend, Lamlash House had the pleasure of hosting another intimate wedding.
It was a celebration that demonstrated exactly what a smaller, exclusive-use wedding can offer. Rather than following a standard wedding package or a fixed format, the day was created around the bride and groom, their guests and how they wanted their wedding to feel.
A wedding created around the couple
No two couples are the same, so we don’t believe every wedding should be either.
For this wedding, the details were planned around the individual requirements of the bride and groom. From the food served to the drinks enjoyed throughout the celebration, there was an opportunity to make the experience personal to them.
A bespoke menu was created for the occasion, rather than asking the couple to simply choose from a standard package. Even the cocktails were personalised, with cocktails created for the bride and groom as part of the celebrations.
These might seem like relatively small details, but together they help make a wedding feel genuinely personal. The aim is for the day to reflect the people getting married, rather than feeling like a wedding that could have taken place anywhere.
The benefit of exclusive use
One of the things that made the weekend particularly special was the intimacy of the occasion.
With fewer than 30 guests, the couple were able to celebrate with the people closest to them, with exclusive use of Lamlash House providing the privacy and freedom to enjoy the occasion together.
There were no other weddings taking place alongside theirs and no need to share the experience with other groups. For the duration of the celebration, the house became their space.
That changes the atmosphere of a wedding.
Instead of feeling restricted by the timings and format of a larger venue, an exclusive-use celebration can feel more relaxed and personal. There is time to enjoy the food, conversations, drinks and company without the day becoming a race from one part of the schedule to the next.
Small weddings don’t have to feel like a compromise
Choosing a smaller guest list doesn’t mean having a smaller experience.
For some couples, inviting fewer people means being able to put more thought into the details that matter to them. Last weekend’s wedding was a great example of that.
