Lamlash House: An Update as We Look Toward 2026

Earlier this year, Storm Eowyn caused significant damage to Lamlash House, affecting both the roof and several interior rooms. Our first priority was to make the building wind and watertight.

Throughout the summer and early autumn, major external roof repairs were carried out to protect the building. Now, as we move through winter and the festive season, our focus has shifted indoors. We are continuing with interior repairs and redecoration across the first and top floors, making steady progress toward restoring Lamlash House to its best.

Because these works are still underway, we’re unable to host public festive events this year.  Our calendar remains limited to a small number of private bookings already in place for the start of 2026.

We know how much our festive programme means and we truly share in the disappointment of its absence this winter. Every stage of this restoration brings us closer to welcoming you back, and we’re hopeful about returning to full hospitality mode in spring 2026.

Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding as we progress these essential repair and restoration works.

Wishing you a warm, joyful and restorative festive season.
